Who am I?
A trail runner, an obstacle racer, a smart-ass, an athlete, a hiker (I run only slightly faster), a professional computer geek (pays the bills), a writer, an artist, a photographer. A prior Marine, the 1986 Hawaii State Karate Women’s Color Belt Kumite (sparring) Champion, a blogger since 2002 (my original blog has met the afterlife). I’ve been running 5k and 10k races since 1981 (took a break for about 10 years between ’95-’05), finished a half marathon in January of 2010 and lost a toenail to it. After all this time, I’m still hitting the pavement at my irritatingly consistent “fast-jogging” pace. And I apparently use parenthesis entirely too much.
Trail Running and plyometric workouts are my physical releases — they keep me on track and prevent me from yelling at inanimate objects and hitting stupid people.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking the time to even visit the site; let alone read this. You honor me — or something.
